Love this book, nice large photos, beautifully made. I would love to know when these photos were taken. It's a very erotic, very sexy, very artistic approach to the human form, both male and female. Unfortunately, Amazon does not know how to pack a book for shipment. The corners are bent and I am returning it for a replacement. Amazon just threw it in a box, threw some bubble wrap over it. That's not how you pack an art book.

The laughably pretentious introduction to this book of hard core pornography dressed up as art is hard to take seriously. The text compares Barbieri's work to Mapplethorpe - who went down this rocky road decades ago - misses the point of the best of Mapplethorpe. His sense of humor. There's no humor here whatsoever. The quality of the photographs is excellent, but the styling is right out of the worst kind of cheap porno chic. As with 'Madagascar,' Barbieri turns everything he sees into a soft porn fashion shoot. Stick to the flowers and leave out the honey. We get it.

The images in this volume are nothing short of spectacular! They are bold, unapologetic homages to the human form presented with stunning beauty given their unrestrained content. This is clearly a true artist at work who is literally comfortable in his own skin and thoughts. I say Bravo!!
